What makes it different.

POWER ARCHITECTURE

Native DC. No conversion losses.

Most surveillance trailers convert DC battery power to AC through an inverter, then back to DC for cameras and networking — losing 15–25% of stored energy in the process. The VDS MSU distributes native DC directly at 12V, 24V, and 48V from both the top enclosure and bottom chassis.

  • 12V · 24V · 48V DC outputs — top and bottom
  • No inverter — no conversion losses
  • More runtime per charge
  • Supports virtually any surveillance device

ALWAYS-ON POWER

Solar, shore power, or generator. Your call.

The built-in battery charger connects to shore power or a generator through the inlet — automatically keeping the battery topped off when grid or generator power is available. Pair with solar for fully autonomous off-grid operation or supplement on long-duration deployments.

  • 900W bifacial solar array standard
  • Built-in AC-to-DC battery charger included
  • Shore power or generator via inlet
  • 11.7 kWh LiFePO4 — largest capacity in class

ANALYTICS

VisionStream cloud AI.

Video streams to VisionStream where AI models classify person, vehicle, weapon, fire, and smoke in real time. False positives are filtered before they reach an operator, and models update continuously over the air.

  • Person / vehicle / weapon / fire / smoke
  • Cloud-based real-time inference
  • Dramatic false-positive reduction
  • OTA model updates

DETERRENCE

Resolve before escalation.

A 120 dB horn and high-visibility red/blue strobes give the SOC immediate intervention tools. Pre-recorded warnings and live audio talk-down resolve the majority of incidents without dispatch.

DEPLOYMENT

Operational by this afternoon.

Tow behind any half-ton truck with a standard 2-inch ball hitch. The 22 ft telescopic mast goes up with a manual or electric winch. Solar panels rotate to face south at any site orientation. Cellular self-registers on the network.

  • 2-inch ball hitch — any half-ton vehicle
  • 22 ft telescopic mast — manual or electric winch
  • Rotate solar panels south for maximum harvest
  • 4 corner stabilizing jack outriggers — no guy wires
  • Built-in forklift pockets for flatbed loading
  • Operational in under 20 minutes — one person

Zero exposed wiring.

Most surveillance trailers run cables down the outside of the mast — exposed to weather, vibration, and tampering. Every VDS MSU routes power and data fully internal through a protected channel, with an integrated cable reel and slip ring for clean deployment every time.

Internal protected wiring

Full mast length, no exposed cables

Cable reel + slip ring

Zero cable stress during raise, lower, or rotation

4× power + Cat6 data

Power and network reach the mast head natively

11.7 kWh of LiFePO4 energy storage — the largest battery capacity in class. At a typical 150W surveillance load, that's 70+ hours of fully off-grid runtime before solar input. Backed by a built-in charger that accepts shore power or generator — so there's always a way to keep it running.

Built for integrators.

Camera-agnostic. Open ONVIF platform. White-label VMS. No mandatory subscription. The MSU ships with all power, connectivity, and mounting infrastructure pre-installed — your cameras, your brand, your client relationship.
