Privacy Policy.
How Vision Detection Systems collects, uses, and protects your information. Last updated June 2026.
// 01
Information We Collect
- Contact information you provide through forms, including our Site Security Designer (name, email, phone, company, project/site name, and any notes you add).
- Usage analytics collected automatically when you visit our website (pages viewed, session duration, referral source).
- Device and browser information for site optimization (browser type, OS, screen resolution), including data collected by Google reCAPTCHA when you submit a protected form.
- IP address and approximate geographic location, including location data sent to mapping providers when you search an address in the Site Security Designer.
// 02
How We Use Information
- To deliver and improve our products and services.
- To communicate with you about quotes, orders, support, and product updates.
- To analyze website usage patterns and improve our digital experience.
- To comply with legal obligations and protect our rights.
// 03
Site Security Designer Tool
- Our Site Security Designer (the interactive configurator at /configure) lets you design a deployment on satellite imagery. When you request your Site Security Design Report, we collect the project or site name, company, email, phone, and any optional notes you enter.
- To search and display satellite imagery for an address you enter, your request is sent to third-party mapping and geocoding providers (such as Esri, Mapbox, Google, or OpenStreetMap/Nominatim). This may include your approximate location and IP address.
- We use Google reCAPTCHA to protect the report request from automated abuse. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information (such as device and application data) and sends it to Google for analysis; its use is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
- The design you create is encoded in a shareable link and is not stored on our servers unless you submit it with your contact details. When you submit, your information is used to prepare your report and connect you with a VDS deployment specialist — by requesting the report you agree to be contacted.

Video Data Handling
- VDS processes surveillance video on behalf of our customers as a service provider. Video data is owned by the customer at all times.
- We do not sell, share, or use customer video data for any purpose other than delivering our contracted monitoring and analytics services.
- Video data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256) on US-based AWS infrastructure.
- Video retention periods are configured per customer contract. Data is permanently deleted upon contract termination or customer request.
// 05
Data Security Measures
- All data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.3 and at rest using AES-256 encryption.
- Access to systems is controlled via role-based permissions with multi-factor authentication.
- We maintain comprehensive audit logging for all data access.
- Regular security assessments and penetration testing are performed by qualified third parties.
// 06
Third-Party Services
- We use analytics services (such as Google Analytics) to understand website usage. These services may collect anonymized usage data.
- We use Google reCAPTCHA for form abuse prevention, and third-party mapping and geocoding providers (such as Esri, Mapbox, Google, and OpenStreetMap/Nominatim) to render satellite imagery and resolve addresses in the Site Security Designer. Use of these services is subject to their own privacy policies.
- Our website and platform are hosted on AWS infrastructure located in the United States.
- We do not sell your personal information to any third party.
- We may share information with service providers who assist in operating our business, subject to confidentiality agreements.
// 08

- You may request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain legal exceptions.
- You may opt out of the sale of personal information — though VDS does not sell personal data.
- We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights.
