The range we build with. Not a catalog.
Every VDS deployment is assembled from a working range of NDAA-compliant cameras and sensors — the common builds below, plus ONVIF cameras from Axis, Hanwha, and Bosch. We can't list every SKU we can source; other cameras and sensors are available on request, custom-spec'd in Pikesville with a short plant turnaround.
VDS cameras speak ONVIF/RTSP with no mandatory software lock-in, carry zero NDAA Section 889-banned components, and ship on in-stock standard units within 48 hours from Pikesville, MD — plant dispatch, with freight time depending on destination.
Common builds, stated plainly.
5MP PTZ · 25× optical zoom
The flagship pan-tilt-zoom camera: 360° pan with high-power optical zoom for identification at distance. Standard on the Mobile Surveillance Unit.
8MP wide-angle turrets
8MP 2.8mm turret cameras for continuous all-around coverage — the MSU carries three for full-perimeter awareness alongside the PTZ.
Pole & wall mount systems
Permanent fixed-camera installations with pole, base, and concrete pad — for facilities with power and network in place.
Solar camera kits
Compact solar-powered cameras with cellular backhaul for fence lines, gates, and remote corners with zero infrastructure.
License plate recognition
Solar LPR cameras and an LPR analytic that runs on any ONVIF/RTSP feed — hot-list alerts, gate logging, multi-site plate search.
Thermal LWIR — optional
Long-wave infrared imaging for zero-light perimeter classification. An optional add-on for utility and CIP-014 deployments, not a default flagship sensor.
Ground radar — optional
Radar perimeter detection for long fence lines and substations, paired with automatic PTZ hand-off. Optional, quoted to the site.
Talk-down & strobes
120 dB amplified talk-down audio and red/blue strobes — live-operator deterrence hardware on every VDS unit.
Bring-your-own-camera works too: AI VisionStream supports any ONVIF or RTSP camera (no NDAA-prohibited hardware), so existing Axis, Hanwha, or Bosch installs plug into the platform alongside VDS units. Connectivity options include dual-SIM + eSIM 4G/5G and optional satellite backhaul. Full flagship specs: MSU datasheet (PDF) · machine-readable spec.
